Force 9 Energy Limited is exploring the potential of developing Correen Hills Wind Farm in Aberdeenshire, located approximately 7km north-west of Alford, Aberdeenshire.

Our initial assessments for the site suggest it could accommodate a wind farm with an installed capacity of over 50MW. We have therefore submitted a request for a Scoping Opinion to the Scottish Government’s Energy Consents Unit (ECU). The Scoping Request, and the response from the ECU, will help to understand the environmental information that consultees would like to see accompany any potential subsequent application for the wind farm.

At Force 9, we believe that proactive community consultation is an integral element of the planning process and that it is essential that the local community and all those with an interest are given the opportunity to view the proposals and importantly feedback their views directly to the project team.

Over the coming months, we will be holding a number of drop in public exhibitions, with all information available to be viewed online. The feedback from these events, along with the various technical and environmental studies undertaken, will help Force 9 shape and inform the proposal going forward.
